Nested tables (different columns at sub levels)

I'd like to be able to use a QTreeView to depict parent - child / ownership relationships, but have different attributes (columns) shown at the different levels.
This would be like the advanced / subgrid example at:
http://www.trirand.com/blog/jqgrid/jqgrid.html

Essentially, I'd like to have nested tables.

For example, lets say you had a list of people and attributes on them. And each person could own mulitple cars, and each car has mulitple wheels, with specfic attributes.

Does anyone have an example of this? How would I go about having different colums or different tables at different levels in the tree?
