    Unhappy Qt4.4 On Mac

    how do you set the environment variable on mac
    so i can compile it?

    please note that i have done the following:
    1. unpacked qt mac commecrcial src 4.4.0 beta1
    2. installed qt mac libs.dmg
    3. installed qt mac commerc eta1.dmg

    lol thanks i just saw ur reply and thats exactly the website i was looking at

    i am not sure if u remember , i also made a post about qt with phonon

    so the result
    is that phonon does work on mac with me at this moment
    but it still doesn't work for windows , thats pretty wierd

    What's so weird about it? As said, it's still an unstable release. Phonon uses different backends on different platforms: QuickTime on Mac and DirectX on Windows. According to some posts on this forums people have managed to successfully compile the Phonon backend on Windows too. Expect less building difficulties once a stable release is out. Oh, and then you can simply have a prebuilt binary installation on Windows so you won't have to compile it at all...
