You can use QPainter::fillRect()

....
painter.fillRect(myPix.rect(), QBrush(myColor));
painter.drawText(....);
....

....
painter.fillRect(myPix.rect(), QBrush(myColor));
painter.drawText(....);
....

To copy to clipboard, switch view to plain text mode
