How to show the widget?

I am working in Qt-3.3.2 in Linux Embedded Systems. I had a problem which is as follows:

I am creating object of an application(appA) from another application(appB). When I click on a button from appB, I called show to show the appA. The widget is not shown. I got the status of appA as a top level widget, maximized. why it is not shown?
