need help with gui

hi ,

i need to show some images in a listbox with a fading pattern...which means...firstly..one image appears .. then second and so on....Also,when i click on the image....a small png file should appear at the bottom right of it which represents that the image has been selected for printing

Can someone help me on how to go about it....any help/example code would be appreciated....please...i m on a deadline
