Which version of mingw are you using? I never saw this make error before. Maybe you could post us a complete log of your configure steps so that we can try to reproduce the problem on other systems to ensure that it is a problem with qt / mingw?

    I'm using qt-win-opensource-4.4.1 for windows.

    The Steps were done are:

    1.unzip the installation.
    2.installing qt.
    3 using qt command prompt.
    4. configure.
    5. mingw-make

What kind of Open Source Qt do you have: sources of Qt 4.4.1 only (qt-win-opensource-src-4.4.1.zip) or Qt with the MinGW compiler included (qt-win-opensource-4.4.1-mingw.exe)?

What also raised an eye brow here: Why are you compiling Qt 4.4.1 in the Qt 4.4.0 directory?

    Okay, please try following steps:

    1) Remove previour installation of Qt 4.4.0
    2) Install Qt 4.4.0 (qt-win-opensource-4.4.0-mingw.exe)
    3) Enter to Qt dir
    4) Run mingw32-make clean
    5) Run configure
    6) Run mingw32-make

    From Qt Assistant:

Note: If you later need to reconfigure and rebuild Qt from the same location, ensure that all traces of the previous configuration are removed by entering the build directory and typing make confclean before running configure again.

    hi pastor,

I tried the following steps which you gave

    1) Remove previour installation of Qt 4.4.0
    2) Install Qt 4.4.0 (qt-win-opensource-4.4.0-mingw.exe)
    3) Enter to Qt dir
    4) Run mingw32-make clean

in mingw32-make clean the following error occurs :

    mingw32-make[1]: *** [Makefile] Error -1073741502
