Hey fellas,

I was wondering if there is a more convenient way than compiling for hours to get Qt 4.5 (libraries and development stuff such as headers, etc) onto a recent Debian, especially Ubuntu 8.10 machine?

It seems that the Trolls are not providing such a package, but it would be so much less pain to be able to install Qt 4.5 from a repository or local package.

I checked the repository for the next Ubuntu version, which includes Qt 4.5. Unfortunately the backports repository only contains 4.4.

Thanks in advance!
