    Unhappy Qt and Graphing tools

    Hi all,

We[our team] have to build an application which should be able to display network traffic using graphs. I have the following queries regarding this. I really hope someone would be able to help us out. Any pointers would be really appreciated.

What are Qt's capabilities in real time data visualisation using graphs? Does it need additional plugins or Qts builtin toold would be sufficient?

Which is the best graphing/plotting tool available for Linux?

Have anyone worked on OpenDX from IBM?
Should I go with OpenDX or stick with Qt or go for some other tool?

    Thanks in advance
    Deepak

Please specify your question. Are you worried about performance or what?

Which is the best graphing/plotting tool available for Linux?
The best tool in general is probably GNUPlot. For graphs the widest used tool is dot from GraphViz package.
Your biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own. Resistance is futile.

    Take a look at kst.
    kst.kde.org

kst 1.8 is a KDE3/QT3 app. kst 2 is pure qt4 port. svn is usable.

It does real time plotting of growing data files.
