Default Can I use an old PowerPC Mac G4 to program QT?

Someone gave me a Mac G4 running on PowerPC chip, vintage 2000.
    It's running OS9.2.
If I update the OS to OS X, can I use this beast to program with QT?

    thanks, for any info

As far as I'm aware, you need to be running Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
