Visual Studio Plugin: Qt Designer doesn’t work

An old thread, but having had a similar issue perhaps this might help someone down the road.

I had placed both debug and release versions of QVTKWidgetPlugin in ..\qt\plugins\designer

Removing the debug version allowed the QT Creator plugin to start and operate properly.
