Default Can't run Qt app on Symbian

    Hi,

I have created a new app (with just an empty mainwindow) to test if I can able to run it on Symbian dev. But I get the error
    Couldn't start executable "C:\sys\bin\new.exe"
when I press F5 and when I directly hit the Ctrl+R I get the message
Could not install from package "C:\Data\new.sis" on device: General OS-related Error
    .

I set the time synchronization between my laptop and the Nokia device. But the problem remains same. I would really appreciate any help as I am struck with this for many days.

    Thank You,
    Baluk

Default Re: Can't run Qt app on Symbian

Same problem was happening with me. In my case it was showing
Could not install from package "C:\Data\test.sis" on device: General OS-related Error
i manually transferred the file to the device and it shows the update error. so first i uninstalled the application (test) and then tried and it was working then.

may be its the same problem with you
so try to find an application with name new (as in your case it is trying to install 'new.sis') and uninstall it first.
