Default Nokia N900 - Java and stuff

I was wondering if a Nokia N900 would be good bussiness. I need a phone that I could create apps for using Qt, advanced apps, that use every hardware the phone has. And that has Java support.
How easy is it to create apps for it? Is the process the same as a desktop computer? Is there a testing environment? Is the N900 good for developing games to?

N900 has no direct Java support. You can get java through EasyDeb (I guess) but that's a bit of work. As for development, I find the Qt+N900+Madde combination very nice. Especially with QtNokiaSDK involved.

What about Maemo? I've heard Nokia will not use it anymore, instead they will go for MeeGo. Does that affect future support for the n900?

    MeeGo is Maemo.
