    Default RHEL 5.4 64bit installing qt binary

    When I run the 64 bit Qt Creator LGPL download in my x86 machine loaded with RHEL 5.4 64bit the below error comes during installation:
    can't find libStdC++.so.6.

    QtCreator is not running after installation.

    Any guidance will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Do you have libstdc++6 installed?

    Yes. I have loaded the RHEL5.4 64 bit.
    This automatically have libstdc++.so.6 in /usr/lib and also in /usr/lib64.

    Could you describe step by step how you "install" Qt and what exactly happens at each step?

    I used
    chmod u+x .............bin
    Then run ./.............bin.
    It invokes the installer.
    At the last stage of installation it gives warning related to libstdc++.so.6(GLIBCXX_3.4.8).
