    FIXED

    Hello,

    After careful examination of the qt website (http://qt.nokia.com/downloads/downloads#lgpl) i noticed that it was possible to download the version of MinGW for the installation from there (it is under list of SQKs). i did so and now the installation went through.

    Hope this helps someone else.
