Hi,
I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 64bit. So far I've been successfully using the Qt packages which come with the distro.
Now I need to setup Qt cross platform development environment for X11, Arm, Maemo and maybe Meego. From the articles I've read on the net I see that the Arm, Maemo and Meego SDKs work better in 32bit environment.
So I was wondering does it worth to lose time trying to setup 32bit Qt environment on 64 bit GNU/Linux distro or it's much easier to install 32 bit OS and build the environment on it.
If I choose to fight on the 64 bit OS what problems may occur? Will it be easy to
satisfy all library dependencies (I assume I'll have to install 32bit version of all development libraries and compile and link Qt with them)?
BR, Jovan
