    What do you type in to the line edit?
    you need to input 6 chars.

    Yah,

    I want to type 6 ascii chars in LineEdit by changing the setInputMask to 'aaaaaaa' .

    cant i change for the derived object ?

    The mask states you have to input 6 chars.
