Spell check for linguist?

I would like to know If is the some spell checker for linguist? To be sure that the text showed to user is written correct.

One way I have thought to spell check the text showed to user is parse the ts file with xml parser extracting only the translated phrase to txt and then open with OpenOffice to check with it spell checker.

But I would like to know if there is a better way to ? How do you spell check your users text?
