    I am using Ubuntu and I just downloaded the installer but it crashes with the following message:

    QCoreApplication::applicationFilePath: Please instantiate the QApplication object first
    **
    GLib-GIO:ERROR:/build/buildd/glib2.0-2.28.6/./gio/gdbusconnection.c:2279:initable_init: assertion failed: (connection->initialization_error == NULL)
    Aborted

    Any help is appreciated.

    Added after 27 minutes:


    It turn out that the problem was caused by an invalid display. This is because I 'su'ed to root and the display was lost.
