Hello,
Where can we post suggestions/improvements for future Qt releases?
Thanks.
Not bug reporting.
For example, get rid of QMake thingy and the ugly non-standard keywords that require special preprocessing tool. Aslo, Qt could use the amazing Boost standard signaling functionality, and it's now thread-safe.
Improve Visual Studio integration, even code generation and editing from within VS.
Thanks.
You don't have to use QMake. If you prefer Makefiles or Visual Studio project files, go ahead. No one is forcing you to use QMake.
You don't have to use MOC if you don't want to, and you can use Boost signals. Just don't use any classes which use signals/slots (or use a mixture, but then you'll need MOC)
QtDesigner was once a part of VS, (but never was for the free versions) but to be honest, its much better in my opinion being a seperate application is much better and is no doubt easier to maintain.
Personally, I'll be sticking with Qt's signalling method, QMake and MOC, only using boost signals if I find a use for it (both types have advantages and disadvantages, for example, Qt signals support the ability of introspection whilst boost supports the ability of returning values from slots)
It's not only for reporting bugs, read the Introduction :Not bug reporting.
