    Post Voip Development Kit

    The Voip Development Kit (VDK) is a software framework to create Voice Over IP application in a very easy and rapid way; it aims to be employed by a wide variety of users in very different scenarios.

    It was created so it could run on many different platforms: Windows, Linux (both 32 and 64 bit) and MacOs X versions are available (Windows Mobile 6.x port is being worked on);

    It makes full use of Qt signal/slot mechanism so you can handle all the events within your Qt application without problems.

    you can download it at: http://www.voipdevkit.com

    Hope you'll like it

    Red face Re: Voip Development Kit

    Hi,

    I don't want to use SIP call. I just want to use our proprietary network protocol. Can I still use your API for following tasks:
    * audioCapture/audioPlayback
    * videoCapture/videoPlayback
    * pick an audio codec and do encode/decode
    * pick an video codec and do encode/decode
    * jitter, buffering
    * audio AEC, AGC, NS, CNG,..., etc.

    Thx

    Hello oob2,
    currently that is not possible, we are working on a low-level API that will give you deeper access to transport and signaling level, but i cannot give you an estimated timeframe yet. However does your protocol handles media-transport? or you would rely on rtp?

    Hi venusstephen, and thanks for you words about VDK. Are you actually using (or plan to use it) in some project? We'd love to hear more feedback from users
    However, i'd like to say we will soon release a new version with a bunch of new features

    Hi all,
    we’re proud to announce the release of VDK 1.1 (Fawkes) for all platforms.

    you can get a trial here: http://www.voipdevelopmentkit.com/

    A brief changelog follows:

    * A bunch of new codecs (G722, G728, G723, ecc.) available on all platforms.
    * G729 is now available on all platforms
    * .NET and Java helper modules are now part of official distribution and no more separate packages. You can now VoIP in your favourite programming language!
    * HD Audio
    * Noise Suppression API
    * New low-level API (get call details: jitter, rtt, packet loss and more) – A glimpse of what is still to come in low-level infrastructure
    * Support for Snow Leopard OS
    * A few bug-fixes and usability issues were fixed.

    We’ve been also pretty busy restructuring the internal architecture in order to integrate the long-awaited video! (yes it is coming! )

    Happy VoIPing and merry Christmas to everyone
