Default Qt Assistant returns every page if searching for non-existing term

    Hi,

I'm using Qt 4.8.2 and using Qt Assistant as a custom help viewer.

I'm having a problem where when searching for a non-existing term (i.e. "laksjdflk;aj"), all pages are returned for the results.

I notice this behavior also when I add the qt.qch (found in the Source Package) to Qt Assistant. So it doesn't seem like a problem with my QCH files.

Another thing I found was that when I turn off filters (changing the current filter to "unfiltered"), the problem goes away.

Has anyone else seen this before?

    Thanks in advance!

Default Re: Qt Assistant returns every page if searching for non-existing term

I am running into the same issue using QT 4.7. It happens any time multiple compressed help files are in a single collection, even if the compressed help files are added from the project file (.qhcp). But I don't have a solution either.
I would love know if this can be fixed. I may have to go back to a single compressed help file.

    Alex.
