Default XP specific issue executing statically linked app

    Hi there,

I've got a deployed Win32 application built using Qt 4.8.1, VS2010, statically linked, and with an installer. Works fine on Windows 7 and I believe Vista (although it's been a while since I tried installing and executing it from it). The installer indicates that it successfully installs on XP machines, but when attempting to run the app executable I get the following error dialog:
This application has failed to start because API-MS-Win-Core-LocalRegistry-L1-1-0.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
I've searched this site and Googled to get to the bottom of the issue, but I haven't made any progress. Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

    Cheers!
