Default how to secure the TCP server described in this wiki article?

    Hello,

I've just read the following article http://qtcenter.org/wiki/index.php?t...hout_threading

    It ends with:

Do NOT use this code in any production server! This is an example and it is just that. The example does not contain any security at all and is vulnarable to a lot of nasty security problems.
Could anyone explain me what needs to be added to get a secure server?

    No code, but good advice

    thanks,

    Sylvain

All kinds of DOS prevention, most of all.

Some kinds of DOS prevention rely on firewall, router, etc.

What can be done in the application?

    thanks

Almost everything you can do with a firewall, you can do in your application. If I tell you what to look for, you won't look for other things. You wanted advice, you got an advice
