Default BACKGROUD TEXT FOR THE QLineEdit

hi everyone. I have QLineEdit which I want to use to get "Date" input. I want the QLineEdit to display the date format in greyed-out text so as to guide the user how his date should be entered. But as soon as the user puts the cursor in the QLineEdit the guide text must disappear allowing the user to enter input. How can I do this?
