WHAT IS OBJECT REFLECTION IN Qt?

Hi everyone, can somebody tell me in laymans terms what object reflection is in Qt, and in what OOP programming situation would you want to apply object reflection. If its not too much trouble can I see a few lines of code where object reflection is applied?
