Is there any advantage behind forwarding the signal to another signal

connect(ui->lineEdit, SIGNAL(textChanged(QString)), this, SIGNAL(textChanged(QString)));

connect(ui->lineEdit, SIGNAL(textChanged(QString)), this, SIGNAL(textChanged(QString)));

over just emitting a new signal such as ?
