Looking for good text/image editor for printer

Hi All,

I am looking for image editor like GIMP where I can create Text with different fonts,size, set dpi for the image created etc.

so looking for lightweight API which I can use and extend with Qt and can be send to printer head.

looking for Ideas or reference will be helpfull.

You mean you want to create your own GIMP like application ?

I will not create a GIMP equivalent, I don't want to reinvent the wheel, looking to extent the existing feature for my needs.

Looking for libraries which can be integrated with Qt,so that I can customise and extend to other platforms.
