Copy & Paste shortcuts not working in Qt 5 with AA_MacPluginApplication attribute

I'm using Qt 5.1.1 in a project right now and Copy/Paste shortcuts aren't working when I'm using the AA_MacPluginApplication attribute when initializing the application. Apparently, it's a known issue as described in this bugreport.

But, the post suggests a fix for it, which I wasn't able to figure it out.

Any ideas how to fix it?
