Unable to initiate needle in Dial

i have just started using qwt widgets on qt
i have been working with dial for couple of days....but i am unable to draw needle to my dial...not evevn able initiate it...

Don't know about your code, but in its default implementation QwtDial always draws a needle - beside its value is invalid ( see http://qwt.sourceforge.net/class_qwt...5fd73250d2e03f ).
