[install_target] Error 1 - trying to run example "Qt Quick Controls - Touch Gallery"

I'm newbie to qt creator and i have been trying to run the Qt creator examples on android emulator or device, a few compile and run without problems (the ones that have the
tag android), but others like the "Qt Quick Controls - Touch Gallery", run ok on desktop but when i try to add an android kit (any of them) and then try to compile it always fail
with "install_target] Error 1", this may be something basic but i couldn't figure out what configuration parameter(s) i'm missing to make it run on android?
i'm using the latest QT 5.3 version.
