How to open hard disk in binary mode?

Do I have any chance to open the HDD (as device) for editing purposes like in hex editors?

Assuming you mean on Windows: you will have to use the Windows API and deal with all the restrictions imposed by Vista and later versions. For older Windows see:

I am fairly sure you cannot achieve this with only Qt QIODevice access.
