It's possible to compile, use and deploy Qt Quick Controls 2.0 library on Ubuntu 16.04 as part of Qt 5.5 based project ? I would like use 5.7 but deployment is problem in Ubuntu as I would like to stick with 16.04 LTS .

Could be possible, depending of whether they need any infrastructor that has only been added after 5.5
Using an official release and just shipping Qt might be easier though.
