Default Which QT components is best suited for my requirements

    Hi,

I would like to develop cross-platform applications for Windows and Linux, ARM based processors running on Linux, however I will be using OS X as development OS. I have downloaded the OS X online installer, however I am not sure which component is best suited for me.

My applications will mostly be GUI based having Forms buttons etc. I will also be connecting to external hardware using serial or USB ports, as such hardware connectivity will be essential for me.

Apart from this I also develop machine vision based applications, for this I will be using opencv a lot.

I have developed on linux using Eclipse and C++ previously. However these were mostly command line based applications.

Could anyone suggest what components are essential for my requirements.

    thanks
    a

Standard desktop like UI (assuming that is what you mean with Forms, buttons) are probably better done with QtWidgets.

But it really depends on how it should look like and how the user will interact with it.

    Cheers,
