The primary role of this position is to develop software applications designed to streamline the installation of our products and ensure that our clients have a positive experience. This involves collaborating closely with both clients and members of the Alcorn McBride team to create outstanding user experiences.

Required Skills
Strong communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude
Attention to detail and ability to find creative solutions to complex problems
Experience developing GUI applications with Visual Studio and/or Qt
4+ years C/C++ experience

Preferred Skills
B.S. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Experience with embedded programming, Linux preferred
Strong technical writing skills (manuals, knowledge base articles, etc)
Experience with HTML, Javascript.
An eye for aesthetics and a solid foundation in UX design

Responsibilities
Developing and coding functional software
Thoroughly testing and troubleshooting problems to ensure quality
Providing technical support for clients and team members
Soliciting feedback from customers and team members to plan software improvements

Working Environment
This is primarily an in-office position requiring heavy computer use. Occasional travel may be required to work with clients on job-sites, provide technical support, and fine-tune software design. Normal business hours are 8:30pm to 5:00pm, however this position allows for a flexible schedule.
