Thread: Set default to release in .pro file for Qt Creator

Default Set default to release in .pro file for Qt Creator

I often start a new small project by copying one that is similar, then delete the build directories and the .pro.user file.
Then the first time I start Qt Creator on that project it always defaults to debug mode.
How can I tell it always to start with release as the default in the .pro file?

Has anyone found a way to do this?
    Is it possible?

Discover for yourself by reading the qmake manual. I don't know if it is possible to do what you are asking in this and your other post.
<=== The Great Pumpkin says ===>
Please use CODE tags when posting source code so it is more readable. Click "Go Advanced" and then the "#" icon to insert the tags. Paste your code between them.

I have been reading the qmake manual for hours and cannot find anything that gives me the slightest hint of an answer.
I think I will have to give up on this one. Hopefully my other post will get an answer.
