    Default Scrolling X Axis

Is there any way to prevent this behavior on a continuously updated X Axis. It appears as the major tick mark and label are drawn the curve and baseline are shifted and then drawn back causing jerky drawing. I attempted to override QwtScaleDraw::drawLabel so the label would only draw if there was enough room to fit which works but the shift still happens. GIF showing the behavior attached.
