Plz Tell me about the significant steps which should be taken in the process of upgradation of Qt embedded 3.3.6 and 3.3.8 to Qt embedded 4.0

I think you need to give more details. Do you mean upgrading the qt library in a system, or do you mean upgrading an application to use the newer libraries?
