    Default Qt4: Problem after installation

Hi, first of all here's my system:
    Linux 2.6.21-1.3228.fc7 #1 SMP Tue Jun 12 15:37:31 EDT 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

The problem I'm having is that my system hangs every time it runs a qt application; it hangs even when trying to run qtconfig. I first discovered this problem when trying to run texmaker. The hanging happens right at the point when the window has come up and before any widget is shown; in fact, the places where the widgets should be are just white. And the system would be frozen to the point where it would require a restart.

Does anyone have the same thing happened to them? Any help would be appreciated.

What graphics card do you have? Do you use any experimental drivers or packages? Beryl maybe? Try running X11 with a plain vesa driver and see if it works.

Yes, it is the video card. It's a GeForce 2. And after some experimenting, I located the source of the problem, which was the enabled hardware acceleration. Thank you, wysota!
