    Default KDE vs. GNOME

Are there known differences in behavior when positioning QDialogs under KDE and GNOME? We use saved geometry to size and position dialogs. Under GNOME our application behaves correctly (i.e. the dialogs size and position according to saved settings, or defaults if settings have not been saved). Under KDE, move(x, y) does not seem to work.
