Default Image Gestures example on OSX 10.5.8

I'm trying to run the Image Gestures example on OSX 10.5.8. It compiles fine but I don't get any gesture events. This QT Labs blog post implies that gestures should work with 10.5.2+. I'm running QT 4.6.1. Anything else I need to do for gestures to work?

Just to double check - I'm assuming I'll get the swipe gesture if I click in the window and drag the mouse from left to right.

I've tried the same example code on Vista and gesturing doesn't work either. Oddly enough, running on Windows 7 ( which supports gestures ) doesn't even show the first image after selecting the source folder. Has anyone gotten the example code to run on any OS?

    I have this problem too.

Image will load, but no gesture will be recognised.

I use WinXp and Qt 4.6.3.

    Any one any idea?
