making a call using my PC + Modem

i am not sure if i am in the right forum

but have any one tried to use Qt framework to connect to the modem and use the dial tone to make a call?

is it possible to do that?


and how complex or easy is this ?

i am guessing that it can be done using phonon framework but i am not sure
