    Default building qt statically help

    CMD:
    qt/configure - static

    I get this message:
    Unable to detect the platform from environment. Use -platform command linearument or set the QMAKESPEC environment varable and run confiqure again.

    I'm on windows 7, anybody know how i should set this up for it to work?

    Quick question: are you running this from the regular command window? If you use visual studio, there is a separate command window program to run - you'll find it in the start menu folder for visual studio.
    If you are using MinGW, then there is a .bat file in the MinGW folder that will set up your environment variables for a command line session.
