Question Qt Creator craches when running application on Windows 10

    Hello,

When I run an application with Qt Creator on Windows 10, Qt Creator crashes.

I installed (and reinstalled) Qt 5.5.1 on Windows 10 64 bits with the kit Desktop Qt 5.5.1 MinGW 32bit.

I create a new project with Qt Widgets Application template. I run qmake and build the project successfully.

However, when I Run (Debug or Release) the application, Qt Creator crashes. I tried many times unsuccessfully.

I searched a solution on the forums, but I didn't fount it.

    Regards.

I found the problem : it's caused by the antivirus which blocks the application launching. I use Avast free 2015. I will add an exclusion.

    Regards.

Thanks for posting the details of your solution to the problem so that others can learn, instead of just posting "Never mind, I fixed it", like so many posters do.

    Thank You very much!
I was struggling with this for like two days ... then I found this thread!
Uff I'm so relieved. Thanks again, keep rockin'

PS: F%$K YOU Avast developers, no single popup or dialog with info about blocked application. No single f$%k given! Why ?!
