QSplitter Issue

I hav mainwindow with a mainsplitter(QSplitter).This mainsplitter in turn has 3 splitters.I hav set the mainsplitter as CentralWidget.The application runs well on the windows operating system.Visibility is of splitters are OK on Windows.But When it is ported to Linux,there is a dashed line in the place where splittters are seperated.....I hav used setBackgroundRole(shadow) to draw dark lines to show the seperation...Can anybody provide a solution this..
