    Default My Qt prayer

I pray that if I ever end up in hospital hooked to a machine I depend on to keep me alive, it will be wysota, anda_skoa, jefftee, yeye_olive, ChrisW, or stampede (to name a few) who wrote the code that runs it, and not some of these others who post here...

    Some things just need sayin'.

It gets so discouraging at times. You want to help and give back, but then you come up against people who ask nonsensical questions, don't want to hear the answer, aren't willing to read the documentation or understand the examples, who persist in following a misguided path despite being told by everyone that it's the wrong way, or who want to jump feet-first into the deep end of the pool without knowing how to swim (or head-first into the shallow end).

You try to make allowances for differences in language, education, and experience, but sometimes it just gets to be too much and you have to walk away before your keyboard types something it shouldn't.

On the bright side, that's the minority. Most people here do listen, so knowing that you've been able to help someone who really appreciates it makes it worth the work.

Fortunately there is another bright side. If I ever need help with Qt, I know there are people here who are able and willing to give it.
Your biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own. Resistance is futile.

Please ask Qt related questions on the forum and not using private messages or visitor messages.

If I ever need help with Qt
I'm not sure I'll live long enough to see that day. And not only because you weren't the one who wrote the code for my life-support machine.

I hope QT would get better performance on Android and iOS
